“In a child’s eyes, a mother is a goddess. She can be glorious or terrible, benevolent or filled with wrath, but she commands love either way. I am convinced that this is the greatest power in the universe.”
― N.K. Jemisin, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms
Today’s Fabulous Mommy Feature goes to the beautiful Tiffany Mae Scott!
Mason, 5 and Amelia, 12 weeks
What an amazing morning to salute and honor another awesome mom for tackling this marvelous thing we call motherhood. Tiffany is a School Social Worker in East Aurora who resides in Naperville, Illinois.
The Insane Mama:What is your favorite thing about motherhood?
Tiffany: Watching my kids grow and learn and gain their independence. Mason is turning into such a little man….he’s so curious and asks so many questions. I love watching him figure things out and come up with ideas. Amelia is still so young but growing so much. I love watching her try to roll over, or grab her feet. I love watching her observe her world because I know she’s learning and growing. It is just amazing to watch them both.
The Insane Mama:What is the hardest thing about motherhood?
Tiffany: I think the hardest part is always worrying that I’m doing the right thing, that I’m being a good mom. Sometimes I struggle with how to handle certain situations and sometimes I look back and know that i could have done better. Thinking about those things all the time can be exhausting. Trying to be a mom that’s fun, patient and understanding, while also setting high expectations, boundaries, and disciplining when necessary, is difficult.
The Insane Mama:What is the most important thing you want your children to understand about life?
Tiffany: That your choices bring certain consequences. That you have to make good choices to have a peaceful life. I hope to give my kids the confidence and self-esteem to make good choices and always to value themselves in the choices that they make.
The Insane Mama:If you could take your children anywhere in the world for one week, where would that be and why?
Tiffany: I’ve never really thought about it but i think possibly somewhere in Spain. I’ve always wanted to go, and id love to experience it with my kids.
The Insane Mama:What do you and your children do for fun? Play games, read books, ride bikes, watch movies.
The Insane Mama:What is the funniest thing your kids have ever done? Mason is quite a character so he’s cracking us up all of the time with the things that he says. He uses lots of big words, which we always get a kick out of, especially when he uses them correctly and it surprises us!! We are constantly laughing with him and wondering what he’ll say next
Keep up the great work mama!!!!!!!
